Reports this morning suggest next year’s Magic Weekend will not be taking place at Anfield.

Broadcast journalist Mick Gledhill claims Robert Elstone has listened to clubs’ concerns regarding the venue and will instead open talks with other potential hosts.

Magic was held at the home of Liverpool FC for the first time in 2019.

An aggregate attendance of 56,869 was below the 64,319 that watched the 2018 event in Newcastle, but above the record low of 52,043 at Murrayfeld in 2010.
