Tribtues have poured in following the tragic passing of young Batley player Archie Bruce.
Bruce was discovered dead in his hotel room this morning after having made his debut for the club in Saturday evening’s defeat to Toulouse.
Clubs will hold a minute’s silence ahead of this afternoon’s fixtures.
Batley and the RFL have released a statement.
It reads: “Batley Bulldogs are greatly saddened to announce the passing of their player Archie Bruce who was found in his hotel bedroom early this morning having made his debut against Toulouse the previous evening.
“Archie’s immediate family have been informed.
“Batley Bulldogs, the RFL and the RFL Benevolent Fund will be supporting the family while inquiries by the French authorities continue, with the club squad delaying their return to the UK.
“The Bruce family have requested privacy during this most difficult of times.”
Batley assistant coach Danny Maun said: “Rest in peace young man.
“I was so proud of you after our conversation last night.”
