St Helens say that tickets are selling strongly ahead of their World Club Challenge clash with Sydney Roosters.

The two Grand Final winners meet at the Totally Wicked Stadium on Saturday 22 February and the hosts report that there is limited ticket availability “in a number of areas”.

The fixture continues a tradition of the two clubs meeting on one of Rugby League’s biggest stages.

The Roosters won the inaugural World Club Challenge back in 1976 and were victors against Saints in 2003.

Super League champions St Helens are seeking their third World Club Challenge title, having lifted the trophy previously in 2001 and 2007.
