Ticket sales for the pre-season fixture between Leeds and Bradford have topped 11,500, and the club say the match is headed for a sell-out.
Capacity at Headingley is limited to 19,700 for the clash, which takes place next Sunday, 12 January, at 3.00pm.
The match was originally arranged as part of Jamie Jones-Buchanan’s testimonial celebrations, but a decision has since been taken to split revenue between JJB and the fund support Rob Burrow.
The sport has rallied behind Burrow following news of his MND diagnosis last month and more than £211,000 has been raised online in just a few short weeks.
Bradford have also confirmed they will donate their share of gate receipts to the fund backing burrow.
RL News reporter Mick Gledhill has helped to organise a sponsored walk, between Odsal and Headingley on the day of the fixture, as part of the fundraising efforts.
