Salford call for action against Clubb

Salford coach Ian Watson and director Ian Blease have called for the RFL to examine an incident involving Tony Clubb and Jackson Hastings.

Hastings received treatment for an eye injury following the scuffle and Blease says he is placing “full trust” in the RFL’s disciplinary committee to take the necessary action.

He told reporter John Davidson: “I am now putting full trust in the match review panel to do their job properly and take the appropriate action on the incidents that took place on Friday”

And Watson told reporters after the game he was disappointed that Clubb escaped without punishment.
