Former Crusaders star Jarrod Sammut will return to Wales this weekend when his Malta side take on the Dragonhearts.

Wales play host to Malta at Morganstone Brewery Field in Bridgend on Saturday, November 23 with a kick-off time of 2.30pm.

The dual code Maltese international first arrived in Super League back in 2010 when he joined the Crusaders. He made his debut in a Magic Weekend clash against Bradford Bulls at Murrayfield – scoring a fantastic solo try.

He left the Crusaders in 2012 to join the Bulls and also played for Wakefield Trinity, Featherstone Rovers, Workington Town and London Broncos before securing a move to Wigan Warriors.

Sammut, along with New South Wales Premiership-based brothers Tyler and Kyle Cassel, have been pictured at Sydney Airport making their journey over to Wales.

The former Penrith Panthers star hit the headlines recently when it was revealed he paid for his own airfare to fly to Sydney to represent his country.

The Wales Dragonhearts’ team for the match will be announced on Thursday.
