SBW to become highest paid player as Toronto move nears completion

Sonny Bill Williams is on the verge of becoming the highest paid player in both codes of rugby as his move to Toronto Wolfpack nears completion.

Williams has won two NRL titles with Sydney Roosters and Canterbury Bulldogs, while he has also won the World Cup twice with the All Blacks in rugby union.

Reports Down Under are stating that the 34-year-old has agreed a two-year deal with the Canadian side worth around £2.7m a year.

The deal has not yet been confirmed, but the Wolfpack revealed last week they wanted an answer this week.
