Salford Red Devils have announced the signing of a second player from Hull KR, just days after signing Chris Atkin from the Robins.
Now, injured back rower James Greenwood will make the switch the AJ Bell Stadium on a deal starting next year but has been given permission to commence training with his new team immediately as he continues to recover from an ACL injury.
The forward, along with Atkin, is one of three players to be released by Hull KR at the end of the season and was happy to be joining a club currently sitting in the top five.
“Salford are doing really well at the moment. This is a new step for me and I’m really looking forward to it,” Greenwood told the Red Devils’ website.
“Being around the boys, the conditioners and the coaches now, means I’ll be able to make that transition straight away.
“I’m just concentrating on getting myself back on that field, then everything else I’ll take care of once I get to that point.”
