New Huddersfield Giants signing Aiden Sezer says he is looking forward to developing a successful half back partnership with Lee Gaskell after arriving in the UK for pre-season.

The former Canberra Raiders ace signed a two year contract with the Giants after playing in a losing NRL Grand Final this year and is confident his experience will compliment that of Gaskell to help steer the team around in 2020.

“It’s good to be here and I’m excited for a new challenge after such a long drawn out process,” he said.

“I’m ready to get stuck into training. They’re an ambitious group and I’m looking to add what I can to the side.

“You always have that leadership in the halves and I’m looking to bring that little bit of experience off the field and to help contribute to a good team performance.

I’ve watched Lee (Gaskell) play and he’s got a lot of quality, it’s about us finding that balance in the halves and I’m very much looking forward to it.”

Sezer will be joined by former Catalans forward Kenny Edwards and Newcastle Knights prop James Gavet in making the switch to the John Smith’s Stadium, with the half back delighted by the quality of the playing squad.

“Kenny has plenty of experience and James (Gavet) coming over as well so we’re hoping to add to what the team already has,” he added.
