Chris Smith has signed a new deal that will keep him at the Canterbury Bulldogs until the end of the 2021 NRL season.

The 25-year-old back row forward, who has played for Penrith Panthers and Sydney Roosters, has impressed since he joined the club in 2018.

He appeared 20 times for the Doggies last season and his ability to do long minutes has seen him rewarded with a new contract.

Bulldogs Chief Executive Andrew Hill told the club website: “Chris is the sort of competitor that we want here at the club. He adds something every time that he takes the field and he has become a vital part of our forward pack.
