A Castleford forward has admitted his future is yet to be secured but hopes to earn a new contract with his performances in the coming weeks.

Chris Clarkson’s current deal expires at the end of the 2019 season.

He told the Yorkshire Evening Post’s Peter Smith: “Nothing is sorted yet, so I am playing for a contract.

“I am not too worried, to be honest – whatever happens, happens. If I keep playing my best rugby I am sure something will come up.”
