The players of Mate Ma’a Tonga have declared they will refuse to play in the Tests against Great Britain at the end of season unless an ongoing dispute over their coach is resolved.
According to reports on NRL.com, a number of players, including super star prop Andrew Fifita, have come out to declare their intention to boycott not only the Tests against the Lions, but their scheduled Test against Australia and the World Cup 9s as the interim board threaten to force current coach Kristian Woolf to step down.
The players have called for the removal of chairman George Kolomatangi and secretary William Edwards.

We need friends, family and fans to get behind the PLAYERS of MMT and help bring our coaching staff back. Don’t let 2 untrustworthy Boardman in George Kolomatangi and William Edwards Rip our team apart. As players, we will not take part in the world 9s and the 2 test matches at the end of year. Our terms are easy, get rid of these 2 men and we will play or Players will walk from the Team and bring a end to MMT. ✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽#Stopcorruption #MMT #Dontletthese2killMMT #plzshare
