One of Warrington Wolves current front rowers has admitted to having thoughts for the first time about his retirement from the game.

31 year old Mike Cooper revealed to Warrington Guardian’s Matt Turner that he has started to think about when he may hang up the boots, but is confident he still has a few years left in him and hopes to play out the rest of his career for the Wire.

“I am thinking about when I might retire. We’ll see what happens, he said.

“I’d like to go out on my terms when I feel like my body’s had enough. I want to retire myself instead of the game retiring me.

“I’d like to finish here, this place means a lot to me.”
