Warrington Wolves have suspended centre Anthony Gelling for an incident off-the-field.

The former Wigan Warriors, New Zealand Warriors and Widnes Vikings three-quarter joined the Wolves at the start of pre-season and has featured in their opening two matches.

Details of what he is supposed to have been involved in have not been released, but the club did issue the following statement.

It read: “Warrington Wolves can confirm that centre Anthony Gelling will not be available for selection pending a club investigation into conduct away from the club.

“Gelling is fully supportive of the investigation.

“The club and player will be making no further comment at this time.”
