Salford Red Devils coach Ian Watson had special praise for the club’s consistently strong away support so far in 2019.

The Red Devils have been notably stronger on the road than at home so far this season, much to the delight of their loyal travelling support, and Watson wanted to bring that same level of noise and excitement to their home matches as the club go in pursuit of play off rugby this term.

“Every time we go away the crowd’s really, really loud and our following support’s been really good,” he said.

“They’re really vocal. We need to give them that energy with a really strong start at home, so they get behind us at home as well and give us that kind of energy.

“Our crowds away from home have been outstanding. Even at home they’ve been loud. We want more of them if I’m being honest, to get behind us and come and support us at home, and really kick us up the table.”
