Wigan Warriors winger Dom Manfredi has returned to training following a long injury lay-off.
Manfredi, who missed two years of action with an anterior cruciate ligament, returned in 2018 to help Wigan win the Grand Final with a two-try performance.
His delight was short lived as he picked up another knee injury in April and missed the remainder of the Super League campaign.
The 26-year-old insists he is ack to full fitness and eager to make up for lost time. He told Wigan Today: “It’s been another tough year for me, so I’m looking forward to getting started again.
“The last injury was to my other knee, it was just extremely unlucky – I’ve been playing rugby for 15 years, never had any problems and now had two separate injuries so close together.
“But I’ve moved on, I’m feeling good, and I’m ready to go again.”
