Featherstone Rovers have signed Greg Worthington for a second time as he joins on loan from Toronto Wolfpack.

Worthington comes back to the club where it all began for him on an initial nine-game loan as Rovers look to gain promotion to Super League.

The 29-year-old centre started his career at Rovers before joining Leigh Centurions in 2015. He left the Centurions in 2017 to join Toronto Wolfpack. He was a member of the Wolfpack’s first ever game and has played 51 games over three seasons with the side.

He told the club website: “I’m looking forward to joining up with the Rovers once again. The drive here was a bit nostalgic, thinking about the four years I was here previous.

“Walking into the place once again made me excited to lace my boots up and walk out of that tunnel and play in front of these fans once again.

“Obviously I spent a big chunk of my career at the club previously and it’s always had place in my heart so to be able to come back here even if it is on loan is something that I am really looking forward to.”
