York land Bradford forward

York City Knights have secured the signature of one of Bradford Bulls experienced forwards ahead of the 2020 season.

Hulking front rower James Green will make the move to Bootham Crescent next year to add some real punch to the club’s middle third. Having debuted originally for Hull KR, Green was played Super League for the Robins, Leigh Centurions and Castleford before spending this season at Odsal.

The 28 year old was understandably excited to join the City Knights having been an admirer of what the club has achieved this year.

“I’m looking forward to getting started with a club that’s clearly going in the right direction on and off the field. It’s an exciting time for all Involved and I can’t wait to be a part of that in 2020,” he told the club website.

“Having met with Fordy and the plan he has laid out for next year made my decision to join the Knights an easy one. I can’t wait to get in for pre season with everyone and begin that journey of hopefully taking the club one step further.”
