Betfred Championship club Widnes Vikings have announced that youngster Liam Walsh has left the club.

The 21-year-old, who was a product of the Vikings Academy system, has been released from his contract with immediate effect.

The forward made his Vikings debut against Leeds Rhinos in the 2017 Super League season. He went on to play a further four gamesfor the club in the 2019 campaign.

A club statement on the website read: “The club would like to thank Liam for all his hard work during his time at Widnes Vikings, and wish him and his family all the best for the future.”
